As the Northern Virginia, Washington, DC metro area was one of the homes of Daymuse Studios in its early years, several of our client home bases are in the area. We work with a variety of non-profit entities headquartered in the district. Many are related to The George Washington University. We also work with enterprise business in the area that typically works on federal government projects.

Migrating from Sharepoint to Drupal 7 with GW Law School

The George Washington University's GW Law School is Migrating to Drupal 7

We've been working with the GW Law School to convert their existing ASP.NET-based Sharepoint public website to an open source solution. The decision was made to utilize the Drupal 7 Content Management System. The DC-based Law School wanted to reduce their Microsoft dependency while simultaneously coming inline with the Drupal community that exists at GWU.

Reducing Expenses with Cohort Price Pulse

Java-based Back-end with a Modern Rich Front-end

Working within a large team of mixed developer resources, Daymuse has provided The Advisory Board Company with much of the front-end user interface of the first release of their Cohort Price Pulse product. The backend system, Java-based, required integration with the front-end at a low level. Internal resources provided Daymuse with much of the general design where we created the details and brought it to life as an integral part of the team.

Graduation Success System: Major Matcher

Rich Asynchronous User Interface Web App

For the last 6 months, Daymuse Studios has been working with The Advisory Board Company to produce a rich asynchronous user interface for one of their customer-facing products. This product was built to have most of the functionality and manipulation occur fully in the front-end through the manipulation of a JSON dataset. On occasion, this app would need to interface with the Java-based backend to update the JSON dataset currently in use.

Planet Forward is a multimedia project that brings expert, student and citizen stakeholders together to identify, elevate and reward innovative ideas in the sustainability arena. This is done through a website that blends editorial content with user-generated content, a series of innovation salons and summits and a weekly television presence on Bloomberg TV.

Web Video Initiative at ESIA with HTML5-powered Mobile Video Player

The Elliott School of International Affairs Wants to Stream Modern Video

The Elliott School of International Affairs was interested in finding a team that could leverage an existing brand and design to support an HTML5-based streaming video rollout, the Web Video Initiative. The project would utilize Drupal to manage the media content. Some of the video would be hosted and streamed locally while other video would stream through YouTube or Vimeo. No matter the video source, the player would need to properly handle mobile use and brand consistently.

Content Migration, Theme Development, and Functional Implementation within Drupal 7

We worked in a partnership with the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences along with the School of Media and Public Affairs of The George Washington University on an internal news/facts program. This program, Face the Facts USA, produces frequent factual information with rich media to "get the message out".

ICD-10 Compass: Moving from ICD-9

Highcharts, jQuery, and Handlebars JavaScript Together for a Rich User Experience

ICD-10 is the latest revision of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD). This 10th revision is a medical classification list by the World Health Organization (WHO). Bring Drupal 7 to The School of Medicine and Health Sciences at GWU

Reimplement an Existing Brand Across Thousands of Pages and Dozens of Subsites

Daymuse has had a long, fruitful partnership with The George Washington University. Recently, we created a modern HTML5-based front-end for the School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) at GW to utilize for their various web projects. Eventually, the decision was made to reimplement this front-end within the context of the Drupal 7 Content Management System.

Through an existing client referral, GovernmentCIO's team contacted Daymuse about creating a new corporate website for their company. They already had their design created and intended to use the Drupal Content Management System to handle their content moving forward. In addition, they wanted to continue to use their Rackspace Cloud hosting to serve the site.
