For the last 6 months, Daymuse Studios has been working with The Advisory Board Company to produce a rich asynchronous user interface for one of their customer-facing products. This product was built to have most of the functionality and manipulation occur fully in the front-end through the manipulation of a JSON dataset. On occasion, this app would need to interface with the Java-based backend to update the JSON dataset currently in use.
This overall approach to having a rich front-end responsible for much of the feature functionality and data manipulation created an interesting problem of how to handle and verify the data.
